The US vs. Switzerland 3:1
Americans has interesting and hungry for victories team. If they catch their rhythm, they can beat anyone, but if they don’t, they will become the Games’ disappointment. In any case I think they won’t score more than one goal in the opening clash.
Canada vs. Norway 6:1
Canada never overstrain themselves in the preliminary rounds. I believe Norway will start the game cautiously, but collapse in the middle of the meeting. And Canada will traditionally let them score a consolation goal at the end.
Russia vs. Latvia 4:0
It is not only the starting match for Russia, but derby of two countrymen – Vyacheslav Bykov and Oleg Znarok. I suppose our team will win thanks to our higher class and will do everything possible to help our goalkeeper begin the competition without any conceded goals.
